Tuzla and Bijambare caves

**Cave visit possible only during summer season, and is weather limited**

Tuzla has always been closely tied to its salt resources. The oldest written records, left behind by the Greek, prove that even they were aware of the region’s salt. The name of the City is derived from the Turkish word “Tuz”, meaning salt.

Today Tuzla boasts having the only salt water lakes in Europe and salt water waterfalls, located in the very center of the city!
On this trip you will visit the Bijambare nature park where you will se main carst characteristics, that will help you understand how how the terrain in these parts of the world was created and what makes it so beautiful.

There are five caves in this park of which, weather allowing, you will tour the main cave with its length 420 meters.
